'Queen’s Cup Pink Polo 2019' Fundraising for the Queen Sirikit Center for breast cancer Saturday 16 February 2019

B.Grimm Group, led by Dr. Harald Link - President and President of the Thailand Equestrian Federation (TEF), along with Nunthinee Tanner, Thailand’s first female polo player and initiator of the charity lady polo tournament, together with BMW Thailand and U.S. Polo Assn., the leading polo clothing brand co-hosting the polo tournament "Queen's Cup Pink Polo 2019”.This tournament is held continuously this year for the 11th year at Thai Polo and Equestrian Club Pattaya, on Saturday 16 February 2019 at 12.00 - 18.00 hrs. All fund raised will be donate to The Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer Foundation

Today, a press conference held at US POLO flagship Store Central Rama 3 concerning the preparation of the upcoming Queen's Cup Pink Polo 2019, led by Caroline Link – Thailand’s lady polo player and B.Grimm Real Estate President, Christian Wiedmann - President of BMW Thailand, Sonia Cooling – Model and Polo player from Team La Familia / Marengo andSupanaree Sumonmart, The Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer Foundation Manager joined the press conference

Caroline Link, B.Grimm Board of Directors and Thailand’s lady polo player reveals that “Pink Polo” is the annual charity polo tournament for lady aimed to raise funds for the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer which this year remarks the 11th year of the tournament to prevent and combat Breast Cancer effectively and also to gain awareness of the importance of breast cancer screening. For this year, in addition to the ladies polo competition, there will also be Flea Market, Lampang Horse Carriages, Fancy Dog fashion show by Yorkshire Terrier Club Thailand and Horseback fashion show by celebrities and youth horse riders that everyone is looking forward to see in a fancy look and sport look support by U.S. Polo Assn.

Christian Wiedmann, president of BMW Thailand, titled sponsor for the event said "Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer and is the leading cause of cancer death among women worldwide as well as in Thailand. Regardless of their socio-economic background, the patients deserve the very best technology and medical care available. The Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer Foundation has invested significantly towards providing state-of-the-art-equipment to support any patients in need, while working primarily with the under-privileged. To support the awareness of this crisis, while striving to assist the center with the latest technology around this issue, BMW Thailand cooperated with B.Grimm Group to co-organize a charity polo event to raise funds for the project."

Supanaree Sumonmart, The Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer Foundation Manager said: "Current statistics have shown that breast cancer is the leading cause of death among women in Thailand. The Foundation is granted a Royal Patronage from Her Majesty Queen Sirikit as Her Majesty would like the foundation to be a sanctuary for Thai women by providing care and support to breast cancer patients.The non-profit organisation saves lives through providing the state-of-the-art cohesive ‘Prevent, Cure & Care’ approach to breast cancer patients holistically, ensuring a fast, efficient and cohesive diagnostic, treatment and nurturing support system for those in need.

Caroline Link , as a lady polo player from the host team said that “Me as a women would like to invite all women to join and to create benefits for the society by supporting and promoting the foundation through"Pink Polo" a lady polo tournament to fight aginst breast cancer also to promote polo sport in Thailand to be known in the new generation of Thai women as well as to develop equestrian sport in Thailand into international competition. This year, there are 4 teams participating in the competition consisting of players from various countries including Team La Familia / Marengo - Malaysia, Team San Eugenio - Switzerland,Team 1003POLO - China, and the host Team Thai Polo - Thailand. The final will be held on Saturday 16 February 2019.

Sonia Cooling model and representative of player from Team La Familia / Marengo, said the campaign is for Thai women to gain knowledge about breast cancer and care through the "Pink Polo" event. Today is the first time we are having an official press conference for this event as we would like to raise more awareness of breast cancer situation in Thailand as well as to promote this good project. Thanks to U.S. Polo Assn. for the location and warm welcome today at the new flagship store here and also for the players team shirt which has been designed specially for this tournament.

Those who donate 1,000 baht will be provided with a wristband, which covers a lunch and drinks during the event while also receiving a Pink Polo limited edition bag.
